What is Fable Farm Fermentory?


Fable Farm Fermentory is a community-focused farm,  winery, cidery, and culinary venue located in Barnard, Vermont. We specialize in naturally fermented wines, ciders, meads, and farm-to-table cuisine, emphasizing regenerative agriculture and ecological harmony. We offer both private events and public gatherings, including our weekly Feast & Field events and Saturday tasting room hours.

What sets your wines and ciders apart?


Our wines and ciders are made naturally, without filtration, pasteurization, or sulfite additions. We use local fruits, wild yeasts, and traditional fermentation techniques, resulting in beverages rich in flavor, nutrients, and beneficial microbes.

Are your products organic?


Yes, we source exclusively organic and responsibly farmed ingredients from our farm collective and neighboring Vermont farms.

Can I have a gathering here?

Yes! If you are interested in celebrating a special milestone at our farm, we would be happy to talk to you about hosting. Fable Farm has been the destination for many gatherings including:

Fundraisers, Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Workshops, and Music.

Where can we purchase your wines and ciders?


Our wines and ciders are available at our tasting room (open Thursdays during Feast & Field events and Saturdays from 12–6 pm) or through select local retailers throughout Vermont. Check our stockists page here for locations, distributed by Vermont Wine Merchants. You can also purchase all of our wines, ciders, vinegar, and merchandise here or join our wine club here!


Can we visit the farm?


We warmly invite you to visit during our Feast & Field events every Thursday (late May–September) or join us at our tasting room on Saturdays from 12–6 pm. You may also schedule a private visit or tour by contacting us in advance.

 Do you offer food at your events?


Yes, we provide seasonally inspired farm-to-table cuisine at our Feast & Field events, crafted with ingredients sourced directly from our collective farms. All diets can be accommodated.

Is your farm family-friendly?


Definitely! We welcome families and guests of all ages. Feast & Field Thursdays are especially popular among families, with many kids running freely and parents enjoying a relaxed environment to meet up and connect.

Are your beverages vegan-friendly?


Yes, our wines and ciders contain no animal-derived additives or clarifying agents, making them vegan-friendly.

Where are you located?

We are located in the foothills of Vermont in a town called Barnard! Our address is 1525 Royalton Turnpike Rd Barnard, VT 05031. We are just over 2 miles down the Turnpike from the Barnard General Store.
