A celebration of music, food, & community

The entity that hosts Feast & Field is called the Feast & Field Collective. We are a collective of farms that have joined forces in an attempt to sustain an agricultural-rural economy and culture. Embracing value-added processing, as well as diversifying income streams have been essential for small farms to find true economic sustainability. Fable Farm turns the fruit they grow into living wines and vinegars and Kiss The Cow Farm turns their milk into ice cream! Eastman Farm’s beef and pork, together with Fable Farm’s vegetables and Chicken, are the staple ingredients for our Feast & Field food offerings.

These three farms are also working cooperatively to steward the historic farms of Barnard’s idyllic Broad Brook Basin, keeping the land open and productive for generations to come. The collective is committed to real organic, regenerative agricultural practices with an emphasis on maintaining intimacy between people and the land. Our intention is to use our farming enterprises as a means to reconnect to the rhythms of Nature, not only for ourselves and our families, but for the community at large.

Sip, savor, and explore our living wines and ciders with curated flights and a seasonal menu designed for both hearty meals and lighter fare.

Whether you're gathering for a laid-back lunch, an early dinner, or something in between, enjoy open-air dining in the orchard or the inviting atmosphere of our historic tasting barn. Saturdays are for discovering the unique expressions of our craft—where every pour tells the story of the land.

Select Saturdays feature private dinners with themed conversations, guided tours of the winery and orchard, and opportunities to book intimate, behind-the-scenes experiences.

Our tasting room, with an expanded menu, will reopen in Spring, sometime in May. Please reach out if you have a larger group tasting in the winter months, however as we are happy to accommodate.

SATURDAY TASTING ROOM

In addition to our rotating selection of artisanal pizzas, our expanded menu will continue celebrating seasonal vegetables and meats from the farm, with the addition of inspired offerings featuring fresh-ground masa from Nando at Moon and Stars  in South Royalton, VT.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely lunch, an early dinner, or small bites paired with curated flights from our full lineup of Fable’s living wines and ciders, it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Saturdays are for discovering the unique expressions of our craft—where every pour tells a story of the land.

New this year, we’re introducing Private Tasting Room Events. These gatherings are available by appointment and designed for smaller, more intimate groups. For winter bookings, we’re offering $50 off a private tasting room event. Scheduling is flexible, with excellent winter availability, the base rental includes a curated bottle/meal package with optional add-ons

RUMNEY SESSIONS

An extension of Feast & Field - where summer’s spirit burns bright through the fall and winter.

Rumney Sessions is our way of keeping the fires of community spirit burning beyond the summer months. “Rumney Sessions”, is the extended edition of the beloved “Feast & Field” event. Join us on Thursday evenings during the fall and winter at Fable Farm, for a spirited celebration of community; local, organic food & drink, and local music - by musicians or collective jam sessions. While the fires blaze, togetherness and music fill the orchard; in the Rumney Barn, we invite you to savor wood-fired flatbread pizzas, hearty soup, craft cocktails, and Fable Farm Fermentory wines and ciders - some warmed!
