Summer 2026 Feast & Field

Hang tight for updates—Feast & Field begins May 28th!

Spring at Fable: A Season of Mutual Support

This spring, we’re inviting our community to support the season ahead through a new way of participating in Feast & Field: Community Supported Dining Shares.

Spring asks a great deal of small farms. After the long quiet of winter comes the sudden rush of seeds, repairs, fieldwork, staffing, and all the unseen labor that makes a growing season possible.

When Fable Farm began in 2008 through a CSA model, our hope was simple: to build something rooted in mutual support between farm and community, each helping feed the life of the other. That spirit remains very much alive in what we do now.

Introducing Fable Farm’s Community Supported Dining Shares

For our neighbors, we’re offering a new way to simplify your summer while supporting the farm: Community Supported Dining Shares. For those farther away, you can still participate through the Fable Farm Wine Club, details on our wine club are listed below!

These shares function as a prepaid dining tab for the Feast & Field season. By purchasing early, you provide the essential resources—labor, seeds, and infrastructure—that a small farm needs to build momentum. In exchange, your summer meals are already taken care of.

How It Works -  Your share acts as a credit. Simply show up, give your name, and enjoy. You can bring guests or add to your balance at any time throughout the season.

Why Prepay? -  Beyond the convenience of a "running tab," your commitment is a direct investment in the resilience of local agriculture. It allows us to grow with stability and intention from the very beginning.

Whether you’ve been with us since the early CSA days or are just joining us, we are deeply grateful. This farm is sustained by the land and the people who believe in it.

A celebration of music, food, & community

The entity that hosts Feast & Field is called the Feast & Field Collective. We are a collective of farms that have joined forces in an attempt to sustain an agricultural-rural economy and culture. Embracing value-added processing, as well as diversifying income streams have been essential for small farms to find true economic sustainability. Fable Farm turns the fruit they grow into living wines and vinegars and Kiss The Cow Farm turns their milk into ice cream! Eastman Farm’s beef and pork, together with Fable Farm’s vegetables and Chicken, are the staple ingredients for our Feast & Field food offerings.

These three farms are also working cooperatively to steward the historic farms of Barnard’s idyllic Broad Brook Basin, keeping the land open and productive for generations to come. The collective is committed to real organic, regenerative agricultural practices with an emphasis on maintaining intimacy between people and the land. Our intention is to use our farming enterprises as a means to reconnect to the rhythms of Nature, not only for ourselves and our families, but for the community at large.

Join us on Thursday evenings during the fall and winter at Fable Farm, for a spirited celebration of community; local, organic food & drink, and local music - by musicians or collective jam sessions. While the fires blaze, togetherness and music fill the orchard; in the Rumney Barn, we invite you to savor wood-fired flatbread pizzas, hearty soup, craft cocktails, and Fable Farm Fermentory wines and ciders - some warmed!
