A Working Farm for Celebrations and Seasonal Feasts Nestled at 1,700 feet in the foothills of the Green Mountains, Fable Farm & Fermentory is a working agricultural landscape and gathering place reminiscent of a traditional European farm winery.

Here, meals are nourished by the land they’re served upon, and celebrations unfold with a sense of belonging. We welcome gatherings of all kinds: intimate dinners, milestone celebrations, retreats, and community events. Our indoor and outdoor spaces offer flexibility for a range of group sizes, with settings that feel warm, authentic, and deeply connected to place.

We are surrounded by ritual on the farm — the spring sowing, the birth of a calf, the autumnal harvest — rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, pizza parties, casual family style dinners, multi course food pairing meals etc. find their natural place in the cycle of life. And so with intention- we harvest our food, cook up a feast, gather the chairs, plates and hay bales, uncork our spirited wines and raise a glass to lovers and their beloveds.

Our barn is surrounded by an old orchard with many nooks for intimate gatherings as well as a generous hilltop plateau for a large tent. There are several spots that take in the surrounding working farm in all its beauty to enact the ceremonies of life.

For retreats, company dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, and seasonal celebrations, Fable Farm offers a welcoming place to slow down and share a meal. Whether gathering around long tables in the barn or dining outdoors among the orchards, the experience is shaped by the land, the season, and the people around you.
